Sometimes I feel the pre-NS training notion is carried out a little too enthusiastically. DS just told me this morning they were takan-ed to do human wheelbarrow on the burning track (having been scorched by the sun the whole day). Heart pain... :scared: Luckily he'd only had blisters on his hands, and it's over.

Then don't have him join those Uniformed Groups or Sports for CCA if you don't want him to go through that. CHS full of doing Pushups on the Bare Ground in those Groups!

                Sec 3 this year.

I'm not against rational push-ups. But 'walking' on bare palms on sun-smooched tracks? Ouch! He wants no interference from me, though my only advice for him is not to do such things to juniors when he's in that position to decide.

During orientation, he kept saying how he hated being out in the sun the entire day, and no way is Scouts/NCC(whatever) is interesting., and that thankfully he not joining those CCA. LOL!

Better to train up earlier for the inevitable, in our humble opinion...
