The school has not accepted any appeals from within the non-IP students. I had checked and they said no appeals to IP. So would the boys be given a choice when school re-opens ?
Well, that's the answer, or THE answer, depending on who answered your call. If the classes are full, they're full. But a lot depends on whether the classes are indeed full...
Hi Autolycus,
Not sure if you remember me.... i asked many questions about IB program in ACSI and you helped me a lot. I would like to thank you for all the information. My dd got into ACSI last year and this year Yr 6.
Wish you a great new year

DS' class also has a good mix of boys of different races. only a handful not taking HMT.
Hey slim_tay,slim_tay:
Hi,
I was told earlier that class allocation is based on selection of MT but my son is posted to a class where only 3 students (and he is one of them) are taking HMT. Approx. 30% exempted from MT :nailbite:
The above composition seems odd to me if basis of allocation is based on MT. Does this mean my son is posted to a \"miscellaneous\" class?
Nothing to worry about. Your son is not posted to a \"miscellaneous\" class. In fact all classes are mixed with students taking CL, HCL, Tamil, Hindi or exempted. During mother tongue lessons, the students will move to the respective breakout classes.
I've also heard that this was the way the boys were allocated their classes some 4 years back but it doesn't seem to be the way.

Hi Breezy and Zeemimi,
Many thanks for sharing. Appreciate it! -
What’s a ‘miscellaneous’ class? Is there such a class this year?

IB result will be out today. Wish those getting results today all the best.

My ds is going to Shanghai, and they were told to bring N95 masks coz pollution is bad. I wish they would reconsider and send them somewhere else instead.Just been informed by my son that their year 3 OEP trip has been changed from Chiang Mai to Vietnam.
Good that the school takes the situation in Thailand into consideration and decided against taking unnecessary risk at the present time of unrest.
Most parents will feel more at least with their kids in Vietnam than in Thailand at this period of time. -

You're very welcome; I'm glad I was able to help! Have a great new year. Today is a busy day as we collate data on the most recent IB results.

Hi Mvm,
No worry about Shanghai, my family was there mid Dec, brought N95 masks but didn't use,
told by locals that such conditions are normal for winter. We saw some burning/clearing of
cottage farmlands. We were at a tea plantation near Xihu, were told that ACSI is visiting

Any news on the latest IB results ?
Heard the average was 41. plus.
