          Hi piggycuties,

I remember during the orientation the principle did mention that if parents are late the child will be under the care of the security guard.

My gal was given 6:35 am pick up time but they usually come in at around 6:40 - 6:45 am. We stay around Teck Whye area. They would send home around 2:00 - 2:05 pm. Fee is $80

Hi dear, thank you! 🙂 I follow the letter with instructions what to bring but my gal said teacher asked her to bring FTGP also but is not listed. I see that Monday in the timetable has FTGP also so got a little confused 🙂

I wait for the teacher to advise then 🙂

                    Hi WSPS,

I would like to feedback on what I had observed today at school’s dismissal. Today is the first day whereby pupils were brought to the side gate for dismissal.

1.\tThough it was class by class, those parents who were standing at the side or way behind, have no idea which class is being dismissed. As a result, many thronged towards the gate the moment they see the pupils walking down. Since many adults are crowding around the gate, this made it difficult for the pupils to “spot” their parents and vice versa.

2.\tWill WSPS allow parents to enter the school compound in the event that it rains during dismissal? Otherwise, other than adults blocking the view, we have umbrellas to watch out for. Is there contingency arrangement during rainy days?

3.\tHow do the teachers ensure that pupils are being picked up correctly during such “chaotic” situation?
I was walking behind this boy, who is following an auntie who is already holding another pupil in her hands. Almost reaching the traffic light junction, the boy asked the auntie where is the school bus. Auntie told him he has to go back to school to board the school bus. The boy quickly walked back, towards the school.

I believe children’s safety is a primary concern shared by both parents and teachers alike.
Understand school term has just started, however I hope we will see improvement in the dismissal process.
