      Dear All Kiasu FVPS Parents

I've done up a simple spreadsheet to summarise the list of parents with their DD/DS and their respective classes.

Please feel free to update the list
      https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AnGoDbMbwwrydG5wMXEyNm41bUZzNEZCVF9xSnRtT0E&usp=sharing
so that we can keep each other relevant.

Let our KiaSu powers combine!!!!! :nunchuk:

Hi 😄 my DD2 would be in Class 1-4 next year. Anyone else DD or DS going to the same class? 😉 Just for everyone's info, my DD1 has been posted to Cedar Girls IP after graduating from Fernvale Primary this year. The highest PSLE T- score for this year is 259 + 3. There are a total of 9 student with a t-score of 250 and above.

        Hi Isabebellecupcakes

Can share your secret to your DD1's success?
I'm beginning to 'psycho' my DD1 (P3 in 2014) to study hard and aim for Cedar Girls....cos it's my wife's alma mater. 😄

Just got letter from Form Teacher yesterday

It states that Form Teacher will teach English, Maths, Science and Social Studies…

That’s alot of subjects for ONE teacher?!?!?!

          Is this the norm???

Wonder how it would affect the teacher and the students???

Sigh… School is really really different from my time…

          See how it goes…

Any P1 students received time table already? My son’s class seems to be more relaxed compared to gal’s P1 class(2yrs ago), I guess different teachers has different teaching style.

I noticed my gal’s P2 form teacher is the same in this year P1 class. Seems like they rotate the form teachers every 2 years. She is always in the third class.

                Nope...no time-table for my DD2 in P1-1 as well.

                  Hi ah_bee & Cap

Timetable should be out this week (stated in the Form Teacher’s letter for P3)
DD2 don’t have such letter but I also presume should be out this week.

All spelling lists out!! (P2 & P3) Spelling starts this week.
Always ensure that they learn their spelling everyday.

Tomorrow (14.01.2014) has a parent-teacher kind of meeting for P2, next week is P3.

P2 also has letter from school for swimming, just take note.

Not sure about the rotation of Form Teacher, DD2 Form Teacher is different from P1 but she said some of the other classes has the same Form Teacher as last year.

DD1 is more interested in what CCA she can join!! (CCA selection is not much for them anyway…)

See how it goes, especially the meeting tomorrow and next week.

                  Cheers
                  Peace to all

                    Hi Cfan,

My gal’s got her timetable last week. Today is the parent-teachers meeting for P1. My gal has the same form teacher for 2 years. My son in P1 still has not gotten timetable, and I received a note in his diary that timetable will be given when it is finalized. I feel that things are less organized in P1 this year compared to 2 yrs ago.

                      Hi Cap

I think that they seem very "messy" at every start of the year so far for DD1 and DD2.

DD1 - P2 change Form Teacher, change location of classroom twice
                      DD2 - P2 change Form Teacher

My colleague who has a kid in P2 this year from another school, before school starts, received a email from the Form Teacher stating some instructions and stuff.

For both my DDs, I don’t even know who the Form Teacher is until one week after school starts. (Due to DDs cannot remember the teacher’s name)

                      Sigh…

The major hurdle this year is whether DD1 can adapt to another subject and also how she will perform as she is no longer under the "no exam years"

                      Let’s work hard together!!!
                      Cheers
                      Peace to all

                        Cfan,

I feel it has to do with the teachers. My elder gal’s P1 form teacher is very organized. Everything including spelling list was given during the first 2 weeks. She was lucky to hv the same form teacher for 2 years. Mrs Khai is a very commited and strict teacher. If only my son is in P1-3 this year, she would be his form teacher. I hope his form teacher would be strict. I find this year is so different.
