What time will the enrichment pgms be held?

The Prog usually will held after school hours.
School will issue circulars to parents pertaining to the respective Prog nearing the date.

Parents must attend all the prog?
      or choose any prog?[/quote]

The Pupil Enrichment Prog are meant for students only. Selected Tue n Thurs noon are set aside to enhance learning experience.

If you are talking abt the Workshops under Family Matters, the schedules I believed have been given to yr girls. These workshops for parents or Family Bonding Activities are not compulsory.

CCA Fair Prog on 11/1 is not compulsory for Sec 1 parents.
However, there is a Talk by HOD PE on the CCA & Leaps System points.
If you are not going, do get your dd to have in mind a few CCA options other than that particular CCA she is keen.

FYI the CCA fair schedule is out on the school website.

                Some questions:

                1) Is it necessary to follow the tour schedule (It says guided tour)? Dd has to be at her Edusave award ceremony by 10.30 am - another event we can’t change.

                2) The schedule of the CCAs seem quite intensive (e.g. track 3x a week, choir 2x a week, even library is 2x a week!) is this the normal schedule or only during competitions?

                3) For sports CCAs, do they have recreational CCA? Or just competitive?

I’ll probably try to ask these questions tomorrow at the fair as well, but just wondering if any parents have any insight?

                Thanks !

Yes,is true that CCA point is not necessary for IP students.
But entry to the University MAY need CCA records of the student during the Sec levels. This point needs to confirm again.

Having said that, the current CCA points system caters to the current Sec 2-5 only. It will lapse in yr 2017.

A new CCA sys called LEAPS 2.0 Sys framework, effective this yr 2014 for the current Sec 1.

ANS: the girls shd be in groups and lead by the Student Leaders to the various CCAs. Let the teacher in charge know yr dd has to leave earlier.

                    2) The schedule of the CCAs seem quite intensive (e.g. track 3x a week, choir 2x a week, even library is 2x a week!) is this the normal schedule or only during competitions?

ANS: such CCAs schedules is normal. When it comes to competitions, training will intensify depending on the CCAs esp Sports.
But don’t worry, it will train the girls to juggle between their studies and CCA.

                    3) For sports CCAs, do they have recreational CCA? Or just competitive?

ANS: don’t think they hv recreational CCA for Sports, at least not in Sec 2. But not sure abt this yr Sec 1.

Sorry, St Nicks only offers DSA for Sports.
DSA for IP Prog as well.
But yr dd can always put SNG as First choice and use her niche in PArts to boast her chance.
Thank you for your interest in the school.
