I have been thinking a lot these days… Kinda reflection of 2013… The more I think, the more I feel unhappy…

I think being in a cheerful mood is more of a personality thingy rather than consciously reminding oneself to be happy?

I’m an empty vessel. Not thinking much in the first place.
That’s helpful in keeping me in a good mood.

But the inability to read between lines is not helpful in corporate world la.

honestly speaking, it's tough to be happy all the time.
having gone through depression, i am grateful i want to start the day every morning and not wanting to hide under the blanket.

last dec, i was feeling very moody...bringing daughter either to nuh rehab for language assessment or else nus clinical psychology centre every other week 😢 basically not in the mood for anything.

                  Ummm… Don’t think too much.

We are people afterall. Bound to have good and bad days. There will definitely be things that upset us. So fine get upset, let it vent then move on, don’t dwell too much on it. That includes not dwelling on you giving in to being upset.

I'm a perfectionist so I tend to think of how I could have made things better 😉 but on the whole I'm pretty happy 90% of the time (which I believe is a much higher % compared to most people).. 5% of the time my mood is affected by my students or my hub and my boy.. The last 5% is when I think too much.. Too deep..

Especially now since we have decided to move to Califonia.. Even more to think about :siao:

How do you guys revive your mood whenever you get upset?

I am also in reflective mood. Year end with lots of winding down & new year with all the new stuff trigger it off.

I stay away from negative people, comments or news. I focus on uplifting stuff. If my thoughts start to veer towards the greyer shades, I consciously redirect them. My moods and happiness index have direct impact on my kids, so it’s important I stay upbeat.

The Answer, your hormones are raging, so you could need extra work. Maybe all the old grandmother’s tales have a grain of truth for preggers ie don’t watch sad & scary movies, stay away from unhappy stuff etc.
