      Hi Joshsay,

I have joint the spree in Sโ€™poremotherhood and the organiser told me that she would place the order in Feb 2010.

I have yet to received the books.

It is so hard to order from dangdang as always run out of stock. As the material is very affortable, by ordering a book would cost much more in shipping alone. So, i rather buy a set of 7 books from spree.

I do not encounter any problem by joining spree so far. Most organisers are very friendly even goods are defective or i donโ€™t like it, they let me do exchange, and i always buy from these organisers that i have built out good rapport with them.

If you want to, try to join active spree who always organise, and start with small purchase.

Good luck and try at your own risk.

i know that you can use Amex card - issued by any bank to pay dangdang. you can try.

Tree nymph, i don't think so. I believe it must be Amex's own issued card. For instance, I have DBS-AMEX card but DBS doesn't offer the VisaMaster Secure code thingy (I emailed to their customer svc support to confirm). So it cannot be used.

        Hi dimsum,
I just checked the status of my order. It says that my order has been shipped out on 30 Jan 2010. I use the DBS Amex (the black card) to pay. since its Amex, you don't need the VisaMaster Secure code. After you put in your order and pay with the Amex card, they will ask you to verify the first 4 digits and the last 4 digits of the card no. The process is actually very fast. By the way, I've just receive the bill from DBS to pay for my order liao... So your DBS Amex black card can be use to pay for your order.

I am sick and tired of citibank card problems, feedback to their customer service staff but no action taken.

Does the DBS Amex card have annual fee waiver ? ๐Ÿ˜‰

            tam,

i never pay for the annual fees... ๐Ÿ˜› ๐Ÿ˜‰

and i don't really use the card. Only this time, cos was very put off by the citibank card (i tried at least a 6 times!!!). then i saw the Amex logo on the website and decided to try using the black card. and viola! the order went through. but as dangdang, they will tell you they are in the midst of checking the order. even after they received the money from the bank (this will also be reflected on the website), they will still ask for card's 1st 4 digits and last 4 digits. then wait another few days and see the status changed... at least this time it went through!

i didn't order the reader, oos mah... will depend on you for this one... remember me hor...

                tam,

at least you were sucessful 6 times! I failed at least 6 times, my first and only one order - tried for 6 times... vomit blood... ๐Ÿ˜›

you try out amex first before saying bye bye to citibank card. the plus point with amex card is no need the security code. i think everything else will be the same.

Here are the books from my latest dangdang order that my kids like :

                    http://tamarindvillage.blogspot.com/2010/02/chinese-picture-books-4.html

The good thing is that the books are affordable, for example, the 12 books of ๅฏ็ˆฑ็š„้ผ ๅฐๅผŸ cost about $32 including shipping, that works out to only $2.70 per book. Most importantly, my kids are attracted to these books and they want to read them.

Not trying to promote dangdang here. In fact, the books are a lot cheaper if bought in China. Anyone who knows of a China website who ships overseas at cheaper rates, please post here.

this series is very fun and easy to read (although the font size is very small). I borrowed most of them (Bedok library has a pretty extensive collection).
