I’m also monitoring this school (APS) as this is the only school within my area that does not need balloting * cross finger*… visited the school once and almost fainted when I saw the highest lift floor is level 8. the school has a lot of facilities. .took me a while to find the canteen (1 Malay and 1 Chinese stall opened on first week of school). canteen seems rather small. classrooms are spacious (as compared to my time haha).

thanks for clearing my doubts … Indeed another mummy told me once "lock" with the first school, can’t register w the 2nd … Pieseh at first I tot there’s further differentiate of the phases (by the distance) … so sorry for all d confusion as I really confused …

But your "3rd day" meaning the last day of Phase 2C ? will tat be very risky huh ? TIA !! ^

Confused. You said you monitor this school. But access to the school compound. So you mean you go in during open house or what?

yes I went in on the first day of school. by chance actually…was waiting to pick up my kids when i realised their preschool is right across the road .I asked the security guard and unexpectedly he let me in. I even offered to exchange my Ic, but he said no need. there were quite a number of parents walking around the school too. but I think after first few days parents are not allowed in easily.

overall I quite like the school compound. but I wonder how’s the teachers there.

Haha the \"best and most exciting\" part of the actions are usually within the last 30 mins on the 3rd day.......

What that mummy said is true. Once you are \"locked\" with the first school, you can't register with the second. At any point in time, you may only register with one school. So, in order to register with the second school, you need to withdraw (or \"unlock\") from the first school.

You think it's risky to leave the withdrawing and re-application to the third day? That's what everyone does. If you don't leave it to the afternoon of the third day and you apply with the school that eventually needs balloting, won't it be even more :stupid: ? It's fine if your child gets in during the balloting. However, if your child doesn't get in (touch wood), you will by then.

Like what Dino said, the most exciting moment (where there is a lot of withdrawal and application) is during the last 30 minutes of registration on the third day of Phase 2C.

If you don't want to subject yourself to such excitement and risk, choose a school that your child will definitely be able to get in during P2C. IMHO, all schools in Bt Merah are the same.

RMPS - under phase 2B
APS - under phase 2C

Which one would you pick? :?

I will go for APS, got a feeling it will beat RMPS in near future.
