btw, did your son mention if they’ve spelling today? My girl said they did not have it. i was very sotong, thought the spelling started last week (thought week 3 was last week). been asking her to practise for almost 2 weeks then found out no spelling again…hmmmm

me also same same... last week ganjiong ask him learn the spelling, then last Wednesday, my son told me spelling start next week. Yesterday I asked, how is your spelling, he say no spelling...... we also practise 2 weeks and still no spelling.... wahahahhaha

I checked with Miss Low, she said she did not received the money, which my son told me he did hand in. Never mind, I went to buy it personally today from their bookshop le.... but strange thing, I though handbook is a must? She also din ask us to buy it when my son do not have it. A little bit confuse for me too

Personally I find that the handbook very cumbersome and add weight to the Sch bag. Basically it is just a book to let them write down their homework. My personal opiniOn is those normal notebook is suffice to serve the purpose

I have received the 15 page worksheet too- was given as hw yesterday to complete the last five pages. Ridiculous standards for p1… The comphre was so difficult. If they continue to give such difficult work. I guess I gotta put a feedback to the teachers

you use 1 day to complete the hw? not bad.... when my ds brought home, he only completed 1st page, and we took Friday, sat and sun to complete it

Do not worry. The kids will be fine. I do not recommend that you feedback to the teachers that the worksheets are difficult. It may or may not turn out to be what you want. If you are the only who complain, for sure the school will not chg the worksheet just bec of you. Moreover this might give teacher the impression that you are a complaint queen. My dd was in P1 last yr. She is not the intelligent type but she had no major prob. She made mistakes and spelling not always full marks. But still she hardly ask me any que. As long as she can maintain band 1 for her tests, I am ok. So give your child sometime. If yr child really can't cope, you will know when the school asks he/she to go back for remedial class. In comprehensions both eng and CL, it is common that 1 question is slightly more difficult and the answer is not in the passage. Btw I rem there is a ptm coming up soon. You can tell the ft yr concerns. If you can't wait till ptm, then leave a note for the ft in the handbook. But it is a no no to feedback that the worksheets are difficult.
