Children normally prefer more tuneful and simpler pieces; so bringing them to a concert full of long complex pieces such as Beethoven's Sonatas may make them feel bored instead.
Beethoven is still bearable. But Liszt...! :faint:
🀷 Do you think it is worth taking DS to watch the NAFA SYT Music competition? I friend suggested it.

Why not? The winner's concert is free admission anyway.

I'm sure the winners are worth listening to. Hmm...but will have to watch prize presentation also right?
Yes, have to watch the prize presentation too, though I don't think the presentation will take long. I will be there this Sunday for the concert. It is mandatory for students of the school to attend the concert.

Can leave partway between items if you really cannot tahan, I'm sure.

I'm afraid I get bored at piano concerts myself. 😜

I'm ok at other instrumental performances though!

Any suggestions on a suitable group piano class for a learner who is already on the cusp of starting Grade 1?

Those early Mozarts are mostly grade 1-3 pieces leh, so normally in more glitzy student concerts or competitions won't really get the chance to hear them.
