CHIJ St Nicholas Girls'

that's right. And it's the baptismal cert of the child that is required, not the parent. same for all catholic schoolssachiko:
I am not sure if this is true. My neighbour who is a Catholic said that SNG did not accept the Church membership she posses, so she cannot apply for her girl under 2B. In the end, she applied CHIJ Toa Payoh and they accepted. You might want to check with SNG.
I think there is a misunderstanding somewhere. SNG is a Catholic school and if a Baptism Cert is produced, there is no way that the school would turn away a registration from a Catholic under 2B. -

Totally agree with you. Some parents think that it is the baptismal cert of the parents instead of the child's that can be used for registration at 2B.

Just curious. My girls are baptized in a Presbyterian church. Does SNG accept them?
-
I don’t think so. Only from Catholic church.

No, SNG is a Catholic school and only Catholics have priority under 2B. You can try for 2C though. -
2C is a hit or miss for me. If I moved within 1km of the school and still cannot win a ballot, what happened?
-
You will then go to the next phase.

What about trying Kuo Chuan or Pei Hwa Presbyterian? -
I asked over at the Pei Hwa thread as well. To register for 2B, need to get recommendation from Pastor and to get that, you have to be a active member in the church.
In this sense, SNG registration is more lax as the only requirement is a baptism cert. -

Which school is your Presbyterian church affliated to? For example, Prinsep Presbyterian members can register their kids in Pei Hwa. You need to submit an application form to Pastor early of the year. But must be a member.I asked over at the Pei Hwa thread as well. Since your child is not Catholic, I don't think you can apply SNG in phase 2B.
