      tankee:

I wonder who started this idea of cooking to a man's heart.

A man may appreciated the effort a lady went through to cook him a meal. But that's about it ... romance? get real ...
So all this candle light dinner thing also not real ah? 😐

Ha ha... my hubby wants me to cook as much as possible. I think it is because he thinks it is healthier, and that I'm not career minded as I should be. Maybe that's the image of a good wife to him. His mum is like that ma...

I enjoy cooking lah, so I don't mind doing it, whether to please him or the children or for the sake of my own curiosity. It makes everyone happy, but you are right, what is so romantic about a stinky, oily haired woman? Better have a good shower after every cookout.

I think it is quite impractical to eat out every day and night. I tried to do that thinking it will be more fun and less work, no need to wash up etc. After a week, I was so tired, I decided to cook. Now, we eat out only 3 meals or so a week. Much better.

I think if a wife cooks, the man may feel that it is 'more like a home'. But, once in a while, it is great to go out and have a meal in a good restaurant. The treat becomes more appealing and romantic.

Eating at home is not really romantic, especially with 5 kids screaming for different things, but it is certainly something I think the man appreciates. It is also kinder to the pocket.

                  Also kinder to the health.
When we eat out, too many instructions(no lard, less oil, less salt, less sugar.......) to give like the KOKA noodle advertistment!

Like me! And one day, I realised the food has absolutely no taste?! I think the chef was trying to make a statement. šŸ˜›

Wise old mama. That's exactly what I'll do going forward, now that my kids (3 of them) are teenagers and they do worry too much about getting fat. They seldom complain about food being oily, but they complain about the kind of food.
