      Lai ah Lai ah …

      let’s talk about roti prata

      what’s your preference?
      - crispy
      - non-crispy
      - modern fusion type

what do you eat it with?
      - fish curry
      - meat curry
      - masala
      - sugar

And where do you get your fix?

wah wah, this is my favourite snack!

i like both version, crispy as well as non-crispy. and prefer fish curry. Mr Prata outside NUS (beside Fang Sen) is quite nice. But the one that i like most is the coffeeshop at clementi central. the one opposite the OCBC Bank. There’s also one at the corner coffeeshop at bedok north blk 8X, near the market which is also quite good. Fish curry can’t be too salty, else its not nice leh…

Traditional non-crispy type (plain) with spicy fish curry (famous store at clementi road, near NUS)

              And
Crispy type with sambal chilli (from somewhere in Marsiling, Malay store)
If someone knows this store, pls pray tell the address.
              TIA

Non-crispy is ok with me too.

But absolute NO-NO are all the new fushion type.

She ate hers with sugar, while her 2 kids ate with Maple Syrup :!:

I once tried the milk prata (with condense milk) with fish curry (must be fish). It was actually v v good. You know that condense milk can be sickeningly sweet rite. However, in this case, the savoury and the sweet came together harmoniously.

But I have to say that I don't think that any other type of curry ie chicken etc.. will go as well as the above combi.

                        JMOO 😄 😄
