        I am a P1 mum.

Can someone comment on the upcoming Term 1 Assessment...
(seriously.. test, assessment & exams makes me stressed-up)
Hi, my gal is in P1 too. I heard from many parents (even my friends whose children are in top schools) that most P1 kids will get full marks most of the time so not to worry. P1 should be a fun and enjoyable year. 😄

Most of them have no tuition too so if your girl is attending enrichment classes, you can rest assure she will do perfectly fine for P1 and P2. Furthermore, I think IJ standard is not as high compare to those branded SAP / GEP schools. It should be manageable and not that tough at all. 😄

Lol.ijgal,u sound confident, your gal must be very smart…however,.even if your gal never get full marks, its still very fine. The rough road starts from Primary 3.Its a very big jump in topics and learning. In fact, not all P1/P2 need enrichmnet class. Its more important to have fun and get to enjoy all the activities catered for lower primary.

Wish All parents and gals a happy chinese new year!

My gal is ok only that's why put her in IJ (has affiliation to Sec so less stressful) instead of the daddy's alma mater, a branded SAP school. At this age, she is doing good because she is a Jan born kid (that's why appear smarter and more mature) and also I started her early in enrichment classes. Both my husband and I have no time to coach her as we need to travel 70% of our time. Yes, totally agree the real challenge is P3 onwards that's why most kids have no issue with lower Pri and it seems so easy to get almost perfect score, base on my friends' children performance. I am not sure if my perception is right but it appears to me that most P1 and P2 will easily get at least 285/300.

Be it 285/300 or 185/300…I believe every child have their own talents. They just need more time to explore themselves.

To me,their library of words and numbers is not as important as Attitude.
With the right Attitude, is the only way to move upwards without failing too much.
