Hi Mashy,
You are so spot-on! I also intend to drop the SLT that focus on functional speech as I realize there are cheaper alternatives for that like home-based sped teacher. But since DS just started ‘talking’, I will monitor a few more months then decide. Thanks for your advice! -
There is a place where those who do not walk the journey will not and cannot reach. A place that is full of thorns, but where roses bloom too. A place that can be quite lonely, but that can also be filled with joy.

sigh… but sometimes, it gets so prickly and thorny that leaves a painful experience.

What does SLT stand for?

tabgha, I agree. Sometimes it can be so painful that I dont know how to pick myself up.
But life is a cycle. Things will come to pass. Where there are bad times, there will also be good times. -
Wassant,
SLT stands for speech and language therapy, OT stands for occupational therapy. -
Hi ImMeeMee,
Yes, very painful and lonely journey, I am at the brink of collapse but need to hang on past the winter cold to see the flowers blossom in spring! -

Thanks ImMeeMee, for the encouragement. It's very important to be strong for our kids. Little steps...tabgha:

I have good news to share.
Anyone of you store your kid’s blood in Stemcord? I called stemcord for a billing matter today and they shared that there is this new Regenerative Therapy approved by MOH which allows a kid to use back his own cord blood for treatment of disorders such as ASD and Cerebal palsy. Is a simply procedure of injecting the cord blood into the kid’s blood stream through needles, no operation needed.
I am going to find out more from the medical officer from Stemcord, will share here if it is something worth trying.
