Hi lala

      What is her full name?
Her full name is Ms Lim Fang Ping
She was my son's hcl teacher when he was in p2. A really good teacher. 🙏 that she is going to be yr dd's teacher for this yr. bec sometime around mar/apr, it is time for cl streaming.
What's CL streaming ? Meaning they will change class again in mar/apr? Oh no ..she is currently quite settled with her cl class .
Yes, but not all kids are affected. Kids stronger in CL will be grouped under sen kwang class. Usually only 1 or 2 sen kwang class only. Most kids will remain in he xing (normal) and won't notice much diff. There is another class but that is mainly for foreigners taking CL.

Streaming is for Chinese only? The form teacher will still remain the same?

              Hi Steadyberry

              Thanks for the info!!

Btw, can I ask something again?

My son is asked to attend Learning Support for Maths and Lower Pri Health & Fitness Club (I believe this is the 胖胖俱乐部??) and both programs falls on same day same timing.... I am confused. I should ask the General office directly or ask the form teacher?

              appreciate your advise.

                  Hi linakua

I went straight to the general office bec I know my son’s ft. Do not think she is the helpful type. My son has hcl on thur and eng department issued consent form for my son’s class (3e) to attend some sort of enrichment on that day, think was creative writing. In the end, they chg. They must chg bec almost 3/4 of the class has hcl. They should assign other classes to attend on thu but not e & f bec most kids in e&f hv hcl. If they refuse to chg, then the enrichment will only hv a few students. Think

Actually they call me directly last week, and receive the notification yesterday. The program started yesterday.

I am surprise my son is not in the learning support for English because his English Std is maybe only at K1.... he started learning English only 1 year ago as we were overseas. I did asked the personnel do they have learning support for English, she said yes, but my son is not in the list.

Learning support is for maths & eng only. Offered every term but who to go will depend on test results. My friend’s son failed his 1st maths test when he was in p1. So asked to go. 2nd term failed again, asked to go again. Finally he passed the 3rd test. Not req to go after that. Not sure about this year’s minimum mark though. Another parent said child had never failed but still need to go. Maybe min mark in test is 70 or 75. Anything lower than that, will be asked to go. Or maybe depends on the teacher. If he/she thinks yr child’s foundation is not strong, will still ask the kid to go.

                        Hi Steadyberry

Thanks. I called the General office just now, the admin said she will get the teacher to call me back. So I am waiting...

If asked to choose either one, which shld I choose? I prefer let him go exercise than the learning support for maths.......
