even if there is a maid, they should lift a finger...i don't want to raise spoiled brats. at least tidy up their own rooms.
sometimes when son walks off after his meal, i will call him back to put his used bowl/cutlery in the sink

            it's a nice feeling, isn't it?
the 2nd trimester should be an enjoyable stage.

Ya.. Nice to sleep without the annoying alarm clock.. These days my son naps beside me after his lunch and shower.. I will doze off first though 😉

you’re due so soon? mid may?

enjoy your pregnancy…it must be exciting to have a baby and having a little helper in the form of your son.

kids grow up very fast...we should enjoy them at every stage.

work in the office is never-ending and at the end of the day, everyone is dispensable. so enjoy every minute with the family because that's where you are always wanted.

I always thought I would continue working till retirement until a relative shared with me that she regreted missing her 3 children growing years. She was at retirement age then and she said looking back at her life, that was her biggest regret.

That conversation jolted me. I was slogging long hours in office then and was feeling frustrated that I missed the first year of my baby's growth. I served my resignation letter 2 months later. And have been home ever since.

I became a SAHM because we were overseas. I probably wouldn't have done that (at least not initially) if we had been in Singapore as everyone I know went back to work after having babies. I am glad I did that, even though I had to deal with baby/toddler and all subsequent phases single-handed most of the time. Now I have time on my hands, I am taking on some work, so I guess you could say I'm living my life backwards? I did work 10yrs before having kids though.

you can slog like a dog in the office because you are paid and expected to...however can still get the sack...but this will never happen at home.

the benefits reaped from putting in the same hours will churn out happy children who share a bond with the mum. I've been a stay-home mum for the past 15 years...it was not all that perfect but I've survived.
when I ask my kids if they would have preferred me to be working, their answer is a no.

I am sure a lot of women would much prefer to stay at home but its not possible now with single income for most.

So pls count your blessings each time you feel frustrated at being a SAHM.

                        😄
