Hello p1 parents,
There are no compulsory swimming lessons but they are available as optional enrichment activity. Details I not so clear, as kids did not participate.
Hall monitors chosen p1 onwards. Not sure if nominated by teacher. My girl said she volunteered.
Parents portal login. Use kid’s id no. and birthday. This info is given on school website at point of login. Unless there is a special login for p1s… -
Hi P1 parents,
There is swimsafer programme in P3, for period of 10 weeks (i think). It is conducted after school and is optional, so you can opt out. -
dear all,
are you aware if there is any plans to relocate the school, whether temporary or permanent?
I have a 6-year old due to register for P1 this year. Location is a consideration. If PCPS is moving out of TPY then… -
Parents with kids in Chinese orchestra:
Can you share how is the lessons like after being selected for SYF? will there will be practise everyday till 5pm and even weekend? -
Hi shandee,
We’ve not heard anything about the school relocating yet…
Hi muska,
for kids selected for SYF CO, there is practice on normal CO day + Saturdays + a few days during the March holidays. Is your child selected? I think should be a good experience for the kids. -
Hi mamemo,
He is in p3 so just started cco as cca for few wks only…he came hm to say, teacher asked if they r interested to join. But he barely playing songs yet. Will p3 be asked to join so early?

Hi muska, my DS is in P4. There wasn't any SYF last year, so I don't know when the coach will ask the P3 kids to join. But I think if the coach asked your DS, then maybe he is ready to join, since the coach will know better than us?Hi mamemo,

Last year, my DS also joined the 80th anniversary celebration in May even though he just joined CO in Jan and had no prior music experience. But he enjoyed it and I feel that it's good exposure for him to be part of a team, feel camaraderie with his team and get some stage experience.
But, agree that you'll then need to spend more time practicing the instrument. What instrument is your DS playing? -
Fyi,
ALL those who signed up for choir in P2 will take part in SYF this year and they are practicing more than usual now. A gd exposure for em indeed. -

Hi hi mamemo,
Yes I also think practise music for a performance would be nice..He is doing yangqin. It seemed not so popular for this instrument only 2 kid from p3 doing it this yr.
How about yours? -
muska:
Mine is playing the dizi. Hope our kids will continue to like CO
