      pummanuel,

if rosyth is in AM session next yr, my son is going to have a bit of a struggle. even at k2, he has problems waking up and he takes sooo long to finish breakfast sigh. he’s been late for school so many times already just this month alone. do primary schools have penalty or detention class if students are late? if he goes HIPS, he gets to wake up a bit later since school starts later for AM session and next yr, they’re still in PM session. plus it’s a faster drive there also. honestly, i think the neighbourhood schs in punggol would suit him best as they start between 7.45 to 8am, just that logistically, he needs to go to his grandparents’ place which are nearer rosyth and HIPS before/ after sch. also, my younger one’s kindi is at my IL’s place. the key attraction to rosyth is less hw and high standards towards the end (PSLE). tough choice eh?

Krex, my k2 girl will have problem waking up too. Best part is I stay at Yishun.

And same. Grandparents stay nearer to rosyth. So I’m also concerned about their assembly time and whether there will be detention.

What rank?? Not that I know of. My gal is in P3.
For P3 level, there r 2 top classes.

                krex:
                Hi,

I'm contemplating putting my child into Rosyth as his dad used to study there. I'm a bit hesitant at the moment as:
                1) The sch is a bit far from where I live in Punggol, which means my child needs to wake up really early.
                2) I'm not sure if he can cope in a \"top school\".

                Would like to know:

                1) Is Rosyth a pressure cooker or are the lower primary years relatively carefree and relaxed?
                2) How are the academic staff? I don't have a good first impression of the school as everytime I call or email them, I get very curt replies. I seem to get greater customer service when I enquire with Holy Innocent and other neighbourhood schools. Hence, I have the perception that the people in the school view themselves as very \"elite\".
                3) Is the school very academically driven or do they develop the child to be an all rounder?
                4) For those who stay in Punggol/ Sengkang, how long is the drive to school in the morning, and if you put your kid in school bus, does he/ she have to wake up very early since he/ she is likely to be the first passenger?
                5) For those of you who put your children in Pro Teach, any feedback on the after school care?
                6) Anybody knows if Rosyth will be single session by 2015?

                Tks!
My gal is happy at Rosyth. Not much homework in P1 n P2.

Krex, d admin staff who answer d phone might not be so customer oriented but d teachers r very nice n understanding.

When my gal was not feeling well during last year yearend exam. D teacher told me not to worry just let her rest at hom. You can always send d form teacher email if necessary.
