Why screen kids in P1?

Why not? When all these have been around for a long time and no parents have ever protested?

But certainly NOT if it ever occur to them to take a BLOOD TEST on the sly of all the kids to test for...say - HIV! One may say early detection is the best but it is not ethical for the school to do it on the sly if you can see my point!

The issue here is not cannot screen but that the parents were not informed of the screening. Health screening, dental care and jabs are all made known to parents. Parents have to sign a consent form for those.

also mentioned earlier, i believe the sch doesnt want parents to "well-prepare" their kids for the screen, and tat explains why the sch didnt inform beforehand…


however i strongly disagree if the sch keep mum all the way… whether the results gd or poor, sch should inform parents after the screen asap…

no parents will be happy if they are keep in the dark while the children goes thru so many things… worse still, not the sch inform parents, the kids!!!

screening for kids is safe. At least we know if there is any problem.
