Hi snow74
i did not attend any interview session. I just submit a proposal and received an email that i was selected as PV.
They have informed me which dept i was attached but each time i call them i was transferred to another dept and the dept in charge is always not around.
this happens a couple of times and i am beginning to think they may not "activate" me as PV at all. -

hi qms
thks for the info… actually that’s what one of the staff mentioned - that there is a proj in Feb requiring a lot of PVs and i’m in the list but Feb comes and goes. So when i call again in Mar, they told me i’m assigned to another dept again. ask me to call again next week as in charge is on leave.
Just a bit worried that i may not be able to clock as my work also has a project starting soon and i may not be able to take so much leave. -
ABC Parents:
They had a project in February? February seemed to come and go without any major event.... :scratchhead:thks for the info... actually that's what one of the staff mentioned - that there is a proj in Feb requiring a lot of PVs and i'm in the list but Feb comes and goes. They have many events coming up in Term 2.
Which department are you assigned to now? -
Hi ABC Parent,
I can understand your frustrations. Perhaps there weren’t anything major in term 1.
My gal is due for reg next yr, have applied for pv but haven’t heard from the sch yet. May I know when were you notified that you were successful in your application?
Thanks -

Actually I’m starting to get really worried too… I’ve finally, finally, finally managed to speak to the pv teacher in charge. She said there’s no upcoming volunteering event. But she will try to think of a short project. However, I have only three more months to complete 40 hrs of pv work… my hubby’s skeptical about me being able to clock 40hrs… esp if project is a short one. he says the chance is slim and raised the point about whether it’s worth it at all.

Hi The Little Cheng Mommy,
Perhaps you could ask the pv teacher directly if they will offer you enough opportunities to clock the 40h? I believe they’ll ensure all pv parent enough events otherwise they should not have accepted so many pv in the first place.
Sorry, but do you care to share when were you notified of the pv outcome?
Thanks -
Hi there! I've forgotten.. but I think I waited for about 2 months after closing date for the reply.
I've heard many stories from pv of other schools that there's insufficient 'jobs' for pvs to do.
Really in a dilemma.. my helper will be flying off next week, and my afternoons will be stuck at home with the kids. will have to find alternative arrangements to look after them & to ferry them to enrichment classes once I'm being 'activated'. I didnt expect this pv thing to drag all the way from last year till now.. and still haven't clocked a single hour.
