Yup was told they closed the kindergarten and reopen. So its hard to find any reference. Even the principal is new, and when i visited the place, its rather small but clean. Phankao, can share from the past experience when your 3 kids were there?

And if i can suggest to the school, they should build a shade at the outdoor play area as it was rather hot direct sun to the kids when i observe their play time. Think mandatory hats would be nice.

Hi all. I visited the school last week and was about to enrol my boy for N1 only to find out the morning session is full. I forgot to ask about the fees. How much is it now? But my hubby seems to like the place. So we are most probably going to sign up for afternoon session.

The playground does seem a little dangerous to me with strings tied onto it. I hope it is just a temporary thing.

Not sure if this school is the right choice too. My elder girl used to go to Kinderland at YCK. I love the place. But the school is really too commercialised. So we are school hunting again.

            Hi all,

I think the Principal is fantastic. Very experienced and accomodating, friendly to the kids too. Yes, morning classes all full. Fees about SGD400+. Without subsidy is because it is a kindergarten, not a child-care centre. Every level 4 hours so it is worthwhile. It is quite popular despite you not being able to find anything on the web about it. The kindergarten has run for many many years before the current rebuilding. I am most impressed because they PRINTED their own workbook! Yes! Both English and Chinese homework book comes in a printed glossy cover instead of loose sheets you expect usually.

It is a Christian kindergarten so you will find the assembly time teacher/principal talking to the kids, singing songs etc. Before food also there will be a prayer song.

Around the area not many good choices anymore so this kindy will get more and more popular as time goes by and word spreads around. You still have PM vacancies because I suspect it closed for so long parents already book their kids elsewhere so cannot change.

Marymount kindergarten is going to be relocated soon. Bethesda kindergarten is at a HDB flat. AMKMC has its own premises and playground. Programme well established.

Other choices around the area, yes, the branded CCC like PSH, Brighton Montessori and Learning Vision are all available at the Grassroots club. Prices (school fees will be x times 3 of AMKMC kindergarten). There are also many PCF, My first Skool around the AMK HDB all around.

But I will not put AMKMC kindergarten at the same level to discuss as such branded CCC. nor other PCF CCC. It is a church kindergarten with 4-hour programme daily.

It really depends on what you want and what you are looking for.

              Thanks for sharing ahboymum!

I had a long talk with the principal. And yes, she is really so nice. It happened that the kids were on an excursion to kidz amaze at tpy safra that day, and she was dressed in sports attire so she could join the kids for some fun. The principal at my elder girl's ex kindy won't do that. I signed up for the PM session immediately. But i also waitlisted for an AM session. 🙂

I alsp registered my boy for next year’s pre N. I feel that the playground should be cordoned off more securely… but the teacher and the P says there will be at least 2 teachers around during playground time n that there’s no worry…

My worry is to the left side… there’s a gap blocked by plants. .but children can Def squeeze thru. And beyond that is the flight of stairs. . Which is dangerous…

And to the right side… not blocked off… is the carpark… which is also dangerous… If the child wander off the premise. .

                  Hi esoterice,

I know what you mean, I also noticed these things when I went there.
Please make sure your kid is not the type to wander off by himself/herself or those very active type anyhow run around. Because the danger is very real!

I see the other PreN kids in same class, most of them can sit down kuai kuai, listen to teacher and follow routine nicely. My younger kid not ready for it as he is very active and runs around. Perhaps when he gets older than I will consider putting him there.

                  All the best!

Yes! And the backdoor, is not really secure too… If anyone did not close it properly, it tends to open up easily just by a push. When I was there, I tried to close the back door and not easy to close too.

I thought since its a rather new premise, they should have thought of all these security issue loh.

i need transport for next year. Thinking to register my child for year 2015, staying near Hougang St 91. the transports fees are unreasonable around $160- 2 ways. i checked with other parents whose schools are even further and they charge around $110 -2 ways. One way was told the rate was about $110. Anyone can advise any other operators? Also, how are the teachers here? Any feedback pls about school/ teachers? thanks!
