Shuqun Primary

Hello all,

I would like to check with those mummies whom currently have kids studying P1 this year.
I would like to know the following:

1. If there is any entry exam/test that the kids need to sit prior they allocate which class your child be in? I heard Shuqun does have this, about few years back but I am not sure if the school still practices that.
2. Any P1 exams for Shuqun?

3. What is the session for P1 in Shuqun (am or pm or single session)
Hence like to find out more as I intend to place my child with Shuqun next year. Thank you very much advance.

DS is in P2 this yr. During his time, he was "tested" during orientation. However, he had already been allocated a class prior to taking the "test". Guess, the sch just want to gauge the stds of kids. No streaming for P1 & P2. Both P1 & P2 in aft session. Hope tat helps.

Any idea what is the current rate of student care?

I’m also actively looking for a good student care ctr for DS. DS is currently at a ctr above McDonalds but I’ve already given notice to quit. Pls let know if any mummies know of a good ctr.

There is student care centre at Blk 514 and another one at blk 470 or 471 which is near the school.

I am not sure as my DS is taken care by my MIL.

elgasg mummy, the student care you mentioned is it Graceland? Can share with us the reason you quit from the centre?

Let’s just said that the centre’s value and way of handling kids is not what I have expected. Anyway, since student care comes under the purview of the Ministry of Social and Family Development (MSF), I’ve requested for them to look into this.

Today P5 will be attending 3d2n camp…1st time my dd ‘detach’ from us overnight, quite worry although I keep on telling myself, she will be in good hand by those teachers there…
