CHIJ Primary (Toa Payoh)

Mummies,
ST mentioned today that the 3 schools will be relocated to a temporary location are Kong Hwa, De La Salle and CHIJ TP, because new wing will be built.
The move to go single session is really a big task for many schools esp popular ones in existing premises. -
Mummies,
Can I check with you the uniform for IJ TP please ?
Does the PE tee have collar for P1/2 ? One more thing, the school badge is still the one which has safety pin ? Thanks. -

The PE Tee does not have a collar. School badge is made of metal with the safety pin. The children use the PE Tshirt 3 times a week. So, it might be better to buy 3 PE shirts and 2 white blouses if you don't intend to wash the clothes till the weekend.Mummies,

Hi Guppy,
Thanks for your reply.
So itβs PE 3x a week for lower primary. Will get extra shorts since she will be wearing them every day. -

thinkg the gals will start wearing collar Tshirt from P3 onwards.Hi Guppy,
Thanks for your reply.

My gals do not like the shorts as she finds them thick..so for those days without PE attire, I let them wear those boxer shorts..it is cooler...
Lately, weather has been so hot and humid..I felt bad for them when they had to wear extra clothes ie pinafold ..My younger P1 gal (PM session) is starting to have her eczema at the neckline area...urrggghhh...she has been asking why there isn't any aircon in her classroom, she missed her kindy classroom... -
bebe,
Didn't know P3 onwards, there is collar for the PE top. Isn't it hot enough?
I agree with you, the weather is so hot these few days. On certain days, I start sneezing when I wake up because of the haze. Will get the cooler and thinner material of shorts on days when there is no PE. Thanks for informing me
My son's school allows him to wear just PE attire on days when there is PE for both girls and boys. But I remember IJ wants the girls to wear the pinafore right after PE. -

Not sure if the collar PE T-shirt is of Polo-Tshirt material..but it is sleeveless. I think for the upper pri gal (P5/6, not sure if P4 is included), they are only allowed to wear the PE shirt (or their respective house T-shirt) during PE lessons. Other time, they shd be wearing the white blouse.bebe,

For P1, they can remove their pinafore and wear only the PE attire until end of the day. But for P2, they have to put on their pinafore immediately after the end of the PE lessons.
Oh ya....It is better to write names on the pinafore so that the gals will not wear the wrong uniform home (It happens!!) -
Hi bebe,
It's nice to know gals in P1 can wear just PE attire for the rest of the day.
Will also write her name on the pinafore. Thanks for letting me know all this.

Hi bebe,
Can I check with you what guidebook to get for P1 English please ? Have no idea how to coach without a textbook.
Thanks. -

What kind of markers (& colour) do you use to write the name & where about do you write the name? Afraid the colour of the marker will run & stain the white blouse. Thanks for sharing.
