for him he is targetting Nan Hua... and the mommy... highly doubt he can go into Nan Hua... He can go into Commonwealth/Fuhua I am :rahrah: already....

Nope... So he has to work harder! After getting superb results in P4... and then P5 is like a free fall......
must exit out of complacency...

Since my DS never had superb results, we don’t know what complacency feels like. I would love to feel it, even if for a while.

My gal is in Henry park P5 and for some reasons the school decided not to give much homework nor any tests this year. So this year seems pretty relax for her. The recent and only test is not weighted too. The school will only have SA1 and 2.


I find it less stressful.

Went into state of panic yesterday after DS did comprehension cloze, comprehension OE and synthesis & transformation. Did not put in any effort. Almost all wrong! :mad: :stupid: Just a few days back, he did the same set of exercises and although didn't get all correct but at least not too bad.

It can be scary when the kid is inconsistent in his/her work…one min the comprehension cloze/comprehension OE is not bad…then everything goes haywire after that. It also depends on the type of passage.

And also if passage is something he can either relate to or is interested in. Die if absolutely no interest.


Ditto for compo. I recall there was one compo I was impressed with, for his standard. Then I realised cos it was something that happened to him so he could easily write about it.
