hubby brought daughter to jcube to ice skate...daughter came home with no scratches, but hubby fell on his bum 6 times and palms are swollen...blue black today. daughter wants to skate again but daddy said NO.

        :rotflmao: Once bitten twice shy?

actually he has a dept gathering at ice skating rink next week and yesterday was to have a feel...he cannot escape next week's event...when he fell, the staff on duty helped him up. good luck to him next week.
told him, 'uncle, you no longer young. how many times can you fall?'

father & daughter went around the perimeter...then daughter decided to move away and he followed...then it was fall after fall. until now, the palms are still red and a little sore. by the time they recover, next round 🤷

I was thinking the same thing...
The uncle's ego... not just fallen...
But crushed and must be quite broken.

I find that the sweetest of intentions to bond with the daughter admirable in this case, because he was treading on unfamiliar ground by agreeing to skate with his little girl.

I told him to be careful because it was his first time ice skating and falling will be unavoidable. But he insisted he had to try it before his company event…daughter insisted on going along…that meant worrying about 2.

He held on to daughter’s hand and pulled her down once.
Now I am worried when he has to skate again next week.

It takes a lot of courage for a man to fall repeatedly.. I would sayang his ego n help him rub his bruises.. My poor old man.. My hubby hates ppl to call him uncle..

Not sure how your hubby feels but mine doesn’t like me to mention the word old to him… He is a bit self conscious…
