I shop for clothes and shoes personally and alone.
      :hi5:
I prefer to shop alone too.

Don't know how to buy things with someone tag along. Very uncomfortable.

And don't know how to shop when too crowded so I avoided weekends

Shoes are so much harder to buy than clothes. The pair I like, I will keep wearing till it wears off. Then can’t find replacement. sob sob.

My current favourite is lactose flat. After wearing it for three months, I absolutely love it so I quickly went back to buy another pair as back up. But no more stock. I checked a few times after. Never replenish stock. sob sob.

Bought a sembonia flat for cny. no where as comfy as lactose. sob sob.

I shop alone and usually off-peak hours…yesterday’s purchase during private sale was easy…because I bought that brand of clothes before.

scholl brand is what I usually wear…so again, it was just getting the size and colour. with hubby tagging along, I don’t know how to shop.

Just being curious, SAHMs - do you shop frequently for Me Items such as Clothing/shoes/bags/cosmetics etc?

Hmm, perhaps not frequently but regularly once the kids reach a certain age.

I love to shop…which is why online purchase doesn’t appeal…must see and feel the item before buying…especially clothes.

even bed sheets cannot buy online...because I need to feel the material.
                  shopping is my hobby.

I shop on weekdays. Less crowd. Nowadays, DD likes to tag along. But I prefer to shop alone. With her, she'll keep telling me to try every item I touch on the rack. Then when we get to cosmetics, I lose her completely. She'll be busy looking at lipsticks and mascara and blusters and nail polish.

I love buying cosmetics. No need to worry it can't fit my butt. 😆 and shoes too. If I can't get anything at all at the end of the shopping trip, I make a beeline for one of the scrapping shops. Lifts my spirit straight away.

No. I don't like shopping, and am always conscious about how much I spend. I keep a limited wardrobe but try to have enough range to be able to attend various types of functions/activities without having to rush out and shop in a hurry. I don't care if something is old as long as it's still in decent condition, and I don't mind people seeing me in the same thing again. It's also an incentive to maintain my weight so I don't have to shop (but I cheat by favouring less fitting items). I have only barely enough footwear (1 of each type - sandals, formal shoes, flip flops, sports shoes), but usually try to have one spare pair of sandals so I'm not caught out when my sandals wear out as those are what I wear the most. I have 1 (unbranded) handbag and it will last me until it collapses (usually 2 yrs or more). I hardly wear makeup and my skincare regime is minimal and unbranded. I'm very low maintenance in terms of expenditure!

Strangely, despite my love for shopping, I have exactly enough workwear for a week and 2 pairs of heels and 1 pair of flats for office. I tend to shop for weekend stuff. And that’s just 2 days out of a week.
