Anyone knows what is the highest 2009 PSLE Score for SCGS Pri ?
-
Hquek – thank you for your assurance. I don’t feel that it is right for me to join the alumni just to get my daughter into the sch (I know lots of parents out there will disagree!!) when I have no intent to join in the alumni activities.
Also, as rightly pointed out, the application for the alumni needs 2 character referees from former students of the sch. I don’t understand why the need to do that!!! Isn’t proof of my attendance at the sch enough?? And of course paying the $300 fee. Again I know some of you out there will think that $300 is nothing in order to get their child into the sch of choice … but I am also thinking of other schs nearby my place for her. SCGS is not convenient in terms of distance, and they do not have after sch care nearby too. Sigh … -
hi cyberpie,
I dun have DD, else I would put her there without a thought - confirmed direct entry, no worries about pv or distance. I do remember with fondness the fun I had in there (well, the sec school that is).
But really the final choice is up to you. if distance and ‘fetchability’ is a concern, you may have to think it through very carefully.
Just remember that there are pp will kill to be in your shoes.
Dun give up your chance so easily. -

Still no one knows ? -
Hi everyone,
My wife is an old girl of SCGS (Secondary) but was from RGS (Primary). We have a 3 year old girl that we would like to get into SCGS (Primary). Will my daughter be considered eligible in Phase 2A if that is the case? I heard that since SCGS is a "Full School", it doesn’t matter whether the mother was SCGS Primary or Secondary, that the daughter will be eligible. Is this correct?
Please help clarify this for me. Thanks!! -

nope - your daughter is only eligible for RGS primary in phase 2A and not SCGS PriHi everyone,

You are right. SCGS is a full school so it does not matter if your wife was formerly from the Pri or Sec side. Your daughter will automatically fall into the Phase 2A category.Hi everyone,

Hooray!
I just got confirmation from the SCGS Primary school that indeed my daughter is eligible for Phase 2A in view of the fact that my wife was from SCGS Secondary. The school is a \"Full School\" and doesn't make a distinction between whether mother was from Primary or Secondary school.
Phew.....

Why is your reason for not considering RGPS?
I thought the answer is quite obvious. SCGS has an affiliated Sec school.
