Are you referring to HSK level or school level? From the info we received, the HSK level 5 is suitable for kids from P5(!) to Sec 3 NCL. HSK level 6 is recommended for those in Sec 3 HCL and higher. It's not compulsory. I think more (not sure how many) took the Level 6 exam this year; there were under 30 (my daughter's estimate) who took Level 5, probably from Sec 3 NCL. Some RGPS P6 girls were also taking the Level 5.

Yes Aspen is customized for RGS but unfortunately the maths one is not so effective for my daughter. May be the teacher, so I want to try somewhere else.

I went to Istudio and did a research, yes, with the bundled AppleCare, Saprura's prices for all models are cheaper than the shops in town. So it is worth to me to buy from Sapura as the girls can alway seek their help and support when there is any issue.

As whether air or pro, for the two 256g storage models, pro is S$235 more, but you will get: 1. Retina display, 2. 2.4GHz duo core vs 1.3GHz, 3. 8gb ... DDR3L Memory, (means faster reaction). Definitely worth buy, then it's the mater of if the girl cares or can feel the difference...
Air weight is 200gm lighter, while Pro is about 1cm smaller both width and depth.
Also for you info, for the same 256gb storage models, Pro is S$300 more than air in town. :evil:
So we roughly know which model we are going to buy

Hi there, I would like to clarify some misconceptions here. 4GB of RAM is sufficient for most uses, but if your girl is doing photoshop or gaming, 8Gb of RAM would be good. Secondly, DDR3L memory is the 1.35V version of DDR3 memory, can be used in x4, x18 and x16 configurations, and has a DLL. LPDDR3 is almost the same as DDR3L except that it does not have a DLL, and therefore most of the time, runs on only 1 chip per memory channel. Essentially, not much difference, the memory bandwidth and I/O bus clock is the same. I would like to also clarify that the Retina display in this case does not run on its full resolution at all times, or else text and apps would be too hard to see. Instead the resolution is scaled depending on what app you open. Most of the time it runs at a resolution comparable to Full HD (1920x1080).
As for the processor, the difference will be pretty noticeable for intensive tasks like gaming or photoshop. You don't need a processor above 1.5 GHZ for tasks like schoolwork or typing.
The main difference between the two comes down to the GPU. The MacBook Air has a Intel HD5000, and the Pro has a Intel Iris 5100 (Iris Pro 5200 for 15'model). Basically, the Pro, as its namesake suggests, is for professionals who do basic video and picture editing. The advancements of the Iris over the 5000 are quite significant. The Iris has 28W TDP, and a higher maximum frequency, and can has up to 832 GFLOPS of graphics compute power. In schoolwork, your girl won't be applying this, but for things like graphics design and video editing, the difference will be very. very. noticeable.
