Hi there. I’m new to the forum and was wondering if anyone could advise on the following:

      1) What are the average rates for student care? My child is going to Primary 1 next year and I’m looking to put her into student care.

      2) Does anyone have any experience with the student care located within Guangyang Primary School?

      Many thanks in advance.

        Just to share:

For most non-profit welfare organisations, studentcare fees range from $220 - $280. You will need to pay extra for tuition conducted by external tutors. From my observation, the caretakers are not qualified teachers/tutors. They usually only monitor that they finish their schoolwork and are not able to coach the kids with homework.

For private studentcare, fees range from $320 - $500, depending on what is included in their package (e.g. tuition). Most centres have teachers who are able to coach the children with schoolwork, but you will need to assess the quality of the teachers yourself (whether they are MOE registered tutors or not).

My DS in P1 is in Pro-teach (Yew Tee), fees at $330 a month.

Material fees (worksheets) : $30 half yearly

Does Parents are willing to pay $800 per months, if the centre provide

                  - Give morning nap if the child come in before 8am
                  - free package milo and fresh milk during the breakfast, catering good foods from listed company, free vitagen after lunch.
                  - Provide min 1 Degree holder programmer on every two diploma holder programmer.
                  - No tuition for P1/P2 student but provide third party’s enrichment program likes English, Pinyin, art / Lego as I believe a lot of parent will sent their child for tuition

S$800 to me is a little bit high although I can afford it. One centre at JW as far as I know provides complimentary creative art program from Art Degree holder. You may try and take a look: Sapphire Learning Centre.
