Unfortunately, Crescent does not offer Chinese Orchestra as a CCA. Crescent's open house was in late October for 2012 and 2013 (I'm not sure about the previous years), so most likely it'll be in late October this year as well. However, I don't know the confirmed dates.

Hi. Crescent offers three types of main subject combis, double 8, triple eight and also triple 9. Double 8 meaning the student takes 2 sciences, either physics+chem or bio+chem, and one pure humanities and combined humanities. Triple 8 meaning the student takes all three sciences plus combined humanities while triple 9 means that a student takes all three sciences plus a pure humans and combined humans. Minimum subjects to take when students are streamed at the end of sec 2 is 8, however she can choose to drop any of her sciences, humans or amath if she finds that she isn't able to juggle the heavy load at the end of sec3.
There will be briefings for sec 2 parents on subject comb. If u are interested, u can download the latest briefing slides from the crescent website. It is on the home page.Techmummy:

My daughter in Sec 1 . If the aim is to take medicine what subject combinations
must take?
How far the preparations from Sec 1 must be?
Can anyone enlighten us in this regard?

Sec one - no need prep.
As for sciences, crescent only offers pure sciences.
And also just to clarify, taking biology at secondary or JC level is not a prerequisite for the medical field. If your child aspires to be a doctor, chemistry is the most important subject. they have changed the system and hence you no longer need biology to enter the medical field. Hope this clarifies some of your doubts.

Seems like yesterday that I was asking more infor about Crescent Girls and next thing I know, we hav to decide on subject combi for Sec 3 next year…
