Believe already told the class weeks earlier, the norm for teacher to remind the class 1 day b4. That why I asked yesterday, noticing this forum abot CL test. DS says got test, but if I never ask, I will never know......

I just go thru the textbook pg 5 - 27 all the hanyu pinyin. No idea to teach also....

i go thro all hanyu pin yin, a,e,i,o,u, b,p,f etc... make sure he knw how to pronounce..

I let DS do some assessment books to reinforce his hypy.

And also his CL worksheets… Did not buy any CL assessment books. Just some EL and Maths as DS very weak in them.

i also was informed by my DS about CL test today.....he told me last nite....very short noticed. :shock: anyway just do a fast revision with him last nite.

i wonder how to stop him to buy not necessary items?? :?:

Maybe distract him with other more expensive items he fancy (eg bicycle, gameboy), but got to save himself to pay for it. Realistic small goals like $20, to buy later end of month.

DS dun fancy such stuffs, as he got more expensive tastes... :faint:

actually we are worried abt this too, so told DS beforehand that if he need to buy any stationery, let us know. We will buy for him outside, then he can use his allowance to buy food or drink for himself instead.
so far he is quite \"cat\", only spend money on food, dun even wanna spend on drinks.
And he has not requested for any stationery yet....

Actually come to think of it, I was a frequent visitor to the sch bookshop last time too. Haha, so cant blame if the kids get carried away by those fanciful things, or follow their frens to buy unnecessary things....
