Mum03, DD can do better. So I am satisfied she managed to maintain, but I do wish she will wake up soon and realise the significance of all these tests and exams. She can throw away an entire test if on that day she is not in the mood to put in effort or if something distracts or upset her.

I did not attend her PTM but her Math tchr called me. Spoke about how DD definitely has the potential to do better than what she is doing now. Tchr thinks she can aim for A* for math. I told the tchr I just hoping for high A. If can get A* that will be a bonus. End of the day it is up to DD to find the drive to work towards whatever she wants to achieve.

        bb_ mom:
DS school stopped the ranking by cohort years back. Don't even have ranking in class. Just total score.

Same for DS.. ..ranking only at year end.. ..
But enough gossip to know who and what the high score/ scorers are.. ..
        My PTM tomorrow.. .. 😄

Yah, most schs remove class or cohort ranking,
Unless u are top 3 in co-hort then we will know (prize giving event)
And top scorer per subject in the cohort
there are no prizes for top 3 positions in class too

But i know of some sch, encourages the kids by creating lots of awards
eg top scorer in class ( regardless of which class u are in or mayb the scores is only 60 but top in class, the child get a "top in class" cert/prize 😛

Thanks for all the feedback, now I understand why the school is going into this direction of not revealing the class and cohort level.
