According to MOE website, no plans yet for PCPS to move next year.

Ideally they should wait for Marymount convent to move back so that PCPS can hold at the former First TPY school which is nearby to their current location.
Hope the people planning the move have some brains

That is very far away from Toa Payoh. Hopefully they will shift to somewhere in Toa Payoh instead.

1) Seems like PCPS would relocate to holding site sometime in 2016 (probably to start
the academic year 2016?). Seems like school upgrading would take abt 2 years to
complete… Is this right ?

2) PCPS being a SAP school, means Higher Chinese is offered at P1. What if child cant
handle Higher Chinese? Can child drop out of Higher Chinese & do "Normal"
Chinese instead?

Yes, very likely to move to holding site in 2016. Why not hold at the ex-old First Toa Payoh @ Lor 1? Reason being that PCPS has about 360 students per level. We need a school with enough classrooms that can cater to these large number of students. Hope it is not too far away from Toa Payoh and the holding site is conducive enough for students taking PSLE in 2016 and 2017.

Yes, I understand students have the option to drop out of higher Chinese at start of P5.
