Yes i agree that distance is impt. Tho my girl’s sch is just 6 bus stops away from home, I’m feeling tired sending n fetching her from sch as I have to bring along my 2 yr old. Relocating is impossible for u now as P2C is in August n it’s only 2 months away.

Thank Santorini and SaSaMum for the advise. I totally agreed within 1km would be best. I’m worry my decision would cause regret… sigh…

Hi, am new to the forum. Going to register my daughter for pri 1 next week. Torn b/w Temasek Pri and K.C. Should be able to get in both as my hubby and I are alumni of both schools. Heard Temasek Pri is academically stronger & nearer to my house. However, heard K.C focuses on character development, has single session, strong in english and has affiliation to K.C Sec. A big concern with Temasek is that it has two sessions which will cause logistics problems for me as my second daughter’s kindergarten is in the morn and Temasek pri 1 & 2 is afternoon. Saw that someone mentioned in this forum that Temasek is moving to single session ins 2015???

Appreciate any feedback or advise given. Thanks in advance.

Distance is really 1 of the most important factor.

My kids school is 2 bus stops away and within 1km so they can choose to walk or take bus.

Since P2 they can go to school and come home on their own. Just need to go bus stop to fetch them.

So convenience and save some $$ as no need school bus which is so exp. Plus even if you engage sch bus, got CCA or anything also must arrange own transport so sch bus is waste of money and not worth.. let alone the fact that you need to pay $$ for > 2 months of sch holidays and still have to arrange transport if need to go to sch during the holidays.

of coz, other bonus is a lot of time saved on traveling.

Distance is really an important factor unless you're very rich then it is no issue can engage private driver to sent them to/fro sch or do it yourself if you no need to work..
