I would not trust any maid when itcomes to giving medication, its best u instruct urself. Its not too difficult to train the new maid on elderly care. The current maid may not want the new maid to know too much.belle_116:
Hi,
Just wish to get feedback if anyone has ever allowed the old maid to meet the new maid for 'handover'? For my case the handover is for the purpose of elderly care medication and feeding.
I agree. I would rather train the new maid than let the old maid handover. -
I am letting my current maid orientate my new maid. I am also taking the chance to do a major spring clean since I have 2 maids for a while.

I agreed . I will take this opportunity to train just in case next time if this current maid makes mistakes in the medication , she will just simply put the blame on the ex maid . -
I have a maid for 9 mths, and she also have finished her loan with the agent. can i just terminate her contract and send her back to her own country without keeping the maid agency in the loop?

Why are you thinking of sending her back?
She has worked for 9 months but earned next to nothing.
Let her get a transfer. Unless she has done something drastic.
If you don't need her any more, or you're just not satisfied with her work, let her get a transfer. -
for my maid, she has reach a point that she refused to follow my mum’s instructions when doing household chores… always thinks that what she does is right…in the end, spoil alot of things in the house. her attitude just getting from bad to worst. to the point she challenge my mum saying " you not happy then send me back to agent"
so i rather send her back home rather than send her back to agent. -
Seems that sending her back is the better option as she is so ya ya liao. But did you ever ask the agent to come in to counsel her and let them explain the rationale and duty of her presence in the house.

In this case , send her bk . Teach her a lesson . They always think that they can change employer easilyfor my maid, she has reach a point that she refused to follow my mum's instructions when doing household chores.. always thinks that what she does is right..in the end, spoil alot of things in the house. her attitude just getting from bad to worst. to the point she challenge my mum saying \" you not happy then send me back to agent\"

Hi jojostc,
I agree that you should send her back. If she goes back to the agent, she can ask for higher pay because she has relevant work experience. By sending her back, you’re giving her a clear signal that you are not putting up with any kind of nonsense anymore. You should check your contract, but as long as the loan is fully paid up and you can’t get any refund from the agency, there’s no point informing the agent. You can easily buy the air ticket and cancel the work permit yourself.
You’ll have to handle this diplomatically though. She’s still staying with you so if she gets upset, she can do anything. -
Agree that she should be sent back. If you are afraid that she may kick a fuss, tell her on the day of departure, give her enough time to pack and arrange for another agent to send her to the airport.
