Anyone tried making concurrent bookings (same dates in different hotels) on Booking.com using the same account name? Is it possible or will it result in auto-cancellation of the reservations?

      TIA

      beeebeeebuuub... i'm back šŸ˜‰

For the last hotel bookings, I booked directly with the hotels. Realised that the rates quoted were cheaper than 3rd party intermediaries, like bookings.com or hotels.com. Decided to leave it as that after booking and did not compare further. Also, no time to do so. A subsequent & occasional random check still showed that the hotel website rates were still the cheaper option. Whew!

(sorry, i know, did not answer your qn, but sharing what i did)

Schweeepppees, welcome back!! Trust that you had had a great time and received an abundant of blessings and enlightenment.
See my halo? :imanangel: for now šŸ˜†

Apart from the hotel in Paris where I'm staying in a bigger establishment, the rest of the trip I'm looking to stay in BnBs type of accommodation. These places either dun hv a proper webby or they expect full or part payment upon reservation. I hv a tentative itinerary but the dates can't be finalise until I can book the various rail tickets.

      :offtopic:
Btw, I've booked 1 sector of my France trip on regional rail for €19 per adult!! Now keeping my eyes big big for more of such deals šŸ˜‚
€19 is a great bargain!! But must monitor for good deals which can be quite lehcheh at times. Have fun planning!! šŸ˜‰

          Hi,
I have made concurrant bookings of different hotels for the same day of stays on booking.com a few times. No issues with concurrant bookings. Just check the terms and conditions carefully before you book especially on prepayment and cancellation charges.

                Hi

I did make concurrent 1 week booking on 3 different hotels using the same account; I hold it for 1 mth or more. So far, no auto-cancellation. And if you need one hotel only, cancel it before the due date... some bookings charge 1 mth before your trip.

                  Hi schweppes

It's definitely cheaper to book directly with the hotel. My recent booking experience... Disadvantage of direct hotel booking is they required upfront payment and when you want to cancel it you will lose in the exchange rate + admin fee, etc. Advantage of booking.com is you can book and cancel as many times as you like... due to cheaper rates or change of hotel preferences.

Lastly, I would prefer booking.com to expedia. I made one booking in which they charged directly to my credit card. When I want to cancel it due to cheaper hotel rates at booking.com, I lost in the exchange rate or admin fee upon refund. Hence, booking.com is my recommendation. šŸ†’
