By the way, I just got to know that RMPS has 59 people registered under P2A. Looks like there will be balloting under P2B since only 21 spots left.

Most likely only the reserved 20 spots available under phase P2C, thanks to the MOE recent tweak to the system, else there may not be a P2C phase for RMPS this year.

Luckily I am not aiming to register with RMPS but Zhangde. The situation at Zhangde does not look that bad.. though. πŸ˜‰

Anyway if you aim ZDPS or RMPS, just get ready to take part in the balloting at Phase 2C. πŸ™

As long as there are leftover places from P2A, it makes no difference whether this policy exists or not, for RMPS. You will still get 20 places for P2C (based on take-up rate so far).

This policy helps only if you end up with a balloting situation in P2A.

Yes. I realized it now. All along, the remainder spots after P2A2 are divided equally for P2B & P2C. If there is left over spots from P2B, it then flows over to P2C.

As such, so long as there is no balloting in P2A2, the reserved 40 spots in the new policy makes no impact.

In RMPS case, the remainders spots after P2A2 wd still have been 41 spots splitting between P2B & P2C with or without the new policy of reserving 40 spots upfront afterall.

Finally! Somebody understood what I was trying to say! I had a difficult time explaining this to a mummy earlier on. Made me doubt my communication skills. http://www.sherv.net/

Let's hope that there will be no more registration today. http://www.sherv.net/

Any places spilled over to P2B and ultimately P2C are \"treasured\" now. P2C applicants will have an intense competition this year. http://www.sherv.net/

Last year, ZDPS has 101 places left after phase p2A2 but this year it is likely to have 137 places left as at P2A2. Looks like ZDPS may not need balloting at phase P2C after all.

The situation at RMPS is very different though. Last year it had 82 places left after p2A2 but this year, only 41 places left. The competition is doubly intense.
