      pixelbee:
Any idea if the terms period for academy year 2015 is available already? Am particularly interested to confirm when is the term break in March'15. Appreciate if anyone can help.

      Dear Pixelbee,

Unfortunately, the \"School Terms and Holidays for 2015\" is currently unavailable on the MOE website.
You may visit the MOE website to check on the school calendar at http://www.moe.gov.sg/schools/terms-and-holidays/. 😄

        Blissedsher:
Can I check , is it true the school has a different pedagogy from other schools ?

        Dear Blissedsher,

West Spring Primary uses the PLAY (Purposeful Learning Activities for the Young) approach to learning so as to provide opportunities for our children to enjoy & love learning.

Much recent education research has shown consistently that children, even older children and adults, learn best through PLAY.

Our specially selected teachers are all trained by education consultants on PLAY as well.

Please do visit our school website for more details. Do also note that our revamped website is currently still under-going migration. Hence, good to re-visit it on occasions for most updated information.

You may also wish to contact Mdm Noor at 6314 4192 to have her email you more details on PLAY.

We look forward to welcoming you and your child to our West Spring family. :grphug:

Thanks for the reply! Just wonder when normally the March term break fall in? eg on the 11th week of term1? on the 3rd week of March? Any clue from fellow parents to share? How do you normally plan for school vacations?

            Dear Parents / Guardians,

Inaugurated in 1997, the Singapore Chinese Orchestra (SCO) is Singapore’s only professional Chinese orchestra. The SCO has impressed audience locally and globally with its splendid performance. So, if you’re available this Friday, 18 July 2014, at 12.45pm, do drop by our school hall to be with your child to watch this performance which has been specially brought to you and your child, by our school, in collaboration with the SCO.

You can click to register for the event at the https://docs.google.com/a/moe.edu.sg/forms/d/1xjt6DadfGXwQBO31FED6pf8cCbjfN5T9fBce3QuPrTM/viewform. It is best viewed on Google Chrome.

            Thank you. :imcool:

                        Dear Okea,

It’s great to hear that you’d be joining us for the MY SG Charity Fund-Raising event on 12 August 2014 at the Star Performing Theatre. :rahrah:

Children aged 3 years and above must purchase a ticket for admission. Children under 3 years of age may be admitted free of charge provided they do not occupy a seat (they must be seated on the lap of a parent).

We hope to see you and your family on that night! 🕺
