Lady Fifi, should be quite simple. Go down to Sch A, tell the clerk 'I WANT TO WITHDRAW NOW!!!'. Once the officer's done, go to Sch B to register (shld be same registration procedure). However, make sure there's no balloting for 1 KM before doing that. I think the school will roughly know which distance will require balloting by day 3 of 2C registration.


Oh yes, and that comes the BiG question. Hopefully senior grandmasters can help us out. What should we do if the school die-die refuse to release the figures for no. of people who stay <1km and 1-2km?

That's what happens for RMPS. Clerk refused to tell me the figures. So how do I (we) know what's my (our) chances like?

Do take note that some schools require original documents to withdraw, too. So, it is better for you to check with the first school what the requirements are.

I'm now thinking whether it's necessary to try and get this P2B place as security. I may deprive someone else who really wants the place when its not really my 1st choice. But I am kinda worried about surprises at P2C.

Anyone know how’s Gan Eng Seng Pri? Why so few people talk about it? With it’s new P previously from Kong Hwa, should make a good 2C choice too right?

Historically, anyone know if there’s any places left for SC in phase 2CS (>2km)?

If we know the statistics for sure, then we wouldn’t even need to do commit our times to do PV and grassroot in the first place.


That’s the reason why I find doing PV a better choice than grassroot (i’m sorry Fifi). Cos as a PV, you get to know the school of interest better and find out whether you think is the right school for your kids. Without open house (like rmps), a lot of information about schools are by word of mouth or from forum or in the news.

Do schools hv the obligations to tell us the breakdown of applicants? E.g distance groupings

I'm kind of blinded by the assumption that most young parents join GRLs to get priority in p1 registration.
