University Life

The homework load can get ridiculously tough as such i suggest you to put in the hours right from the get go. plus, it is generally easier to obtain good grades in your freshmen year but of course, this depends on which faculty you are in as well.
As for hours, like what 45has has said, you are able to customise most of it and 4 day study week should be the average here.
Would be good if you are able to join some CCAs preferably as part of the committee since it helps to fill up your resume -

From NUS point of view:Hi all. What is life in university like? (eg cca, curriculum, hours, homework load etc)
Thanks
CCA is optional, but if you want to join there is a wide variety of CCA to join. There are also inter-Faculty games to participate in.
Curriculum is by module. Each module lasts one semester, which is around half a year. For most faculty, there is some flexibility on which modules you want to choose.
Hours can depend on how many modules you take per semester. Recommended is around 5 modules per semester, but you can take more if you want to graduate faster or to learn more. If you plan your timetable nicely, it may be possible to have a free day where you don't have to go to school at all.
Homework depends on the module taken. Some have zero homework (but that means all the grades is concentrated on the test), some have substantial homework.
