One of my students failed Maths from Sec 3 to Sec 4 (have never passed a single test or exam), but with constant effort and self-motivation managed to get A2 for E Maths at O level. The level of self-motivation was so high that he even requested for extra homework by himself, not by the parent. (Very few students will do that.) Currently doing well in JC.

Such stories give me hope for my son.

Some other inspiring stories include students who are very strong in Humanities (right-brainers) who somehow don't do well in Maths. They are hardworking and with the right guidance are able to do as well as other students in Maths, even though they are not \"naturals\" in the subject.

I do have one student, who is naturally strong in languages and humanities, but weak in maths. Almost forced to drop A Maths in school in Secondary 3, but passed the retest. With guidance and motivated practice on his part, he was one of the few who passed the A Maths Sec 4 Midyear in his class. (Students familiar with the current system will know how few people actually pass the A Maths Midyear Exam in Secondary 4)

Just need to study the correct way with Maths, and practice with understanding. \"Never give up\" is the motto.
