I bought some P1 maths test papers for my son to try and kind of think that they tend to use P3 english to narrate P1 maths questions. Shouldn't they use more pics and less English words for P1 level maths ?

agree loh, i looked at zhangde maths exercise (those in-house paper prepared by teachers, on top of the MOE standard papers), give a chunk of paragraph, and ask the child to give reasoning (provided 3 blank lines) and lastly state the final answer.. to put it simply it was just about 5-3=2! but to expect a P1 child to write down lines of reasoning, isn't that a bit too much?

Yah! Sometimes when my niece asks me how to do, i was like :scratchhead:zp1503:
Oh my! I really should?
All i know is that the homework are so hard from what i see from my niece thus i think my son will struggle.
You find the homework difficult? Wait till you try other schools' exam papers.
Actually, the homework is not difficult. It's the way the teachers phrase the questions. So confusing and contradicting, sometimes. -

I thought Bus 65 goes there? Is it convenient to take this service from your house? -

Precisely! Sometimes (no, should be most of the time), I wonder whether they are testing Maths or English. Are you referring to maths papers ?

Wait till your child reaches higher levels. You will :stupid: when you read those questions. -
KC Spider:
Haha.. KC, you either stay at Blk 19 to Blk 23 Jalan Membina or Central Green Condo.I stay in jalan membina.. anyone knows how to go to That School by public transport?

Unfortunately, the entrance to That School at Prince Philip Ave is about right in the middle between 2 bus stops, making it more practical to walk there from where you stay rather than taking a bus. It is probably a 10 mins walk at most by the way. If you think walking is tiring, you and your son may consider roller skating or riding on gliders.. :rotflmao:
Ehm... So many of us are so near to the Z school and I am the only one keen on it... :scratchhead: -

Thanks all for replies!
I think scooting there is a good idea. Schools should have a parking space for scooters and locker space for helmets
Ah. Finally it's Day 2 of 2C registration. Yesterday no update.
