      Jennifer:
I did not know abt this. My boy did not apply for MO training.

Btw, is there any merits doing well in MO at sec sch levels?
I dunno lah. It's my son who go and apply for himself. Had to pay S$2 for that test too. I only asked him if he has enough time and can manage.

[quote=\"Jennifer\"]There was a pop quiz before CNY. The students had got back their results.

Results only announced today. Sorry, my boy clarified that this test is for \"Competition Math\". Have to use this test's results to apply for the Math Olympiad Training, I think.

        So it's probably not a \"pop quiz\".

My boy signed up and paid $2 for a Maths competition sometime ago before CNY. Ytd he did not mention the results. We did not know if it was for MO application.

MO training would mean stay back at sch. My boy wants to have more free time in the afternoon. He is already doing French on Thur afternoon. Claimed he does not want to commit more afternoons doing sch stuff.

Ytd went to sch general office to ask what to do abt the Polo-T.

A Mr Lau (in charge of T-shirts) attended to me and told me the sch bookstore will eventually be selling the Polo-T.

Anyway, the vendor is coming today and Mr Lau will do the exchange for us and then sms my boy to collect at the office. Hopefully this Mr Lau remembers.

How are your children doing for the sch graded assignment/test?

My boy’s teachers will announce the highest score (not who gets the highest score) for the assignment/test. I thought this practice is good as it lets the students know their standing in the class and at the same time does not bring too much attention to the highest score student.
