      Han Seo:
Has anyone used Dyson bladeless fan before? Any comment? The price at $699 is very steep so I hope to get some comments first before buying.

i wanted to get one too...but a friend said the wind is not strong and it tends to be noisy...so it's back to my trusty KDK.

Interested to get one to put in my kitchen, thinking easier to clean since no oily blades?? Alas the price is too ex to justify. Even asked DH to look ard taobao for a cheaper imitation, he said not cheap also. :?

Anyway, I've tried friend's Dyson fan recently ( q. a big standing one) in her office, on a non aircon Sat. The fan strength is ok, but not as strong as the traditional ones, I feel. Not noisy also, think they've improved over the initial generation(s).

Was just t Best Denki yesterday eyeing the Dyson tabletop fan for my dining area. That along with a Kitchenaid. Ha. Decided to think on both items some more.

Nothing beats a ceiling fan if one is looking for good airflow. These days, there are many ceiling fans that are suitable for smaller apartments with low ceiling.

I am tempted to replace my dining area light with a ceiling fan with light but I think it will not look nice, though totally functional. So the next alternative is to have a fan. Looking more for a counter top fan than standing fan. The Dyson bladeless fan isn’t that noise, very quiet in fact, definitely not that strong but I think enough for the dining area. Looks cool and easy to clean. Ex though for a fan.

i have 5 fans in the flat...ventilation is important...just have to be hardworking to clean fans often, esp the one near the dining area.
dyson fan definitely looks COOL and easy (or nothing) much to clean.

We own one. If used to keep a room cool after air con has been turned off, it is fine. However, when the room is heated up, to cool it down takes a lot of effort by the fan…cannot get immediate gratifications if one is looking for that. It does not cover much distance either.

Cleaning is of course the greatest pleasure of all.
