Hi deardar,

There’s a form on the school’s website. Just print, complete and pass it to the school’s General Office. The PSG will include you when they send emails calling for helpers.

Most activities are once-off, requiring only a few hours. There is no restriction on how many you can or must join.

Can any one enlighten pls

A foreign parent not very familiar with Singapore P1 system.
But my children are Singaporean.

Staying 1 to 2 km from HIPS, am a Catholics so

For next years P1 registration, i should be in phases 2C correct based on distance which is most likely to be under Balloting?

Does being a Catholics helps in any ways?

What abt the PV - i heard from some parents, need at least 2 years of volunteers needed prior to the P1 registration date is that correct?

Pls advise

Am super confused, heard too much.

Hi Being a catholic means u r eligible for phase 2b without the need for PV. You will need to produce your baptism cert on the day of registration.

Any parents with kids (staying around Fernvale/Anchorvale) starting P1 at HIPS next year? Would like to find out more about the school bus system for HIPS. Any parent care to share the pick up/return timing?

so in regardless whether is under 1 to 2 km?

I tik you have to take note and ask the school since they have some rules and regualation applied such as even if catholic - priority is still given to 1km distance etc… like CHIJ ST nic…

Yes I called the school to check
jus said confirm in Phase 2B (within 2 km) BUT provide no change in rules from now till then.

was told there was 1 year, for 1 to 2 km need balloting for phase 2B cos over number in enrollment

I’m deciding between Rosyth and HIPS for my son’s 2014 registration for P1 in 2015. A major consideration is the distance, as I live in Punggol and my ILs live in Kovan. After school, my son goes to my IL’s place. Those taking school bus and living in Punggol, would you be able to let me know roughly what time the pick up is? I’m just afraid he might have to wake up too early if he takes school bus to Rosyth, which is much further. Also, would like to know if HIPS gives children a lot of homework in the first few years. It seems that Rosyth is quite balanced in this aspect and does not over burden their students, which seems like a plus point to me. Any feedback would be appreciated. Tks!

I am keen on these two school too but am in the 2km mark for both schools.
can share any tips etc pls. My Gal is registering for P1 next year
