[Bukit Merah] Primary Schools
-
We are considering New Town Pri, Queenstown Pri and Gan Eng Seng as our backup schools. Could anyone please share your feedback about these schools especially if you have a child studying there now?
I registered my child under Phase 2C in GES. I like what I saw, especially its student care which is run by YMCA and it has good reviews from other parents whose kids are in the student care. GES has a new indoor stadium which is going to be ready in 2015. Going single session in 2015 as well.
Thanks BaconEgg for sharing about GES. -
YMCA in GESPS is superb! GESPS teachers so far so good. Principle…very quiet and mysterious hardly see him walking around.

I do have a elder one in GESP so far so good, I like the teachers that are very supportive and caring in his class. I do not know much about other class teachers. I send my 2nd one there too next year. I registered at the new school which is so much talk about and more convenient for me but last minute withdrew as am outside 1km…
Actually whichever school in Bt Merah doesn’t matter to me, QTPS I like it bright and airy! APS brand new! GESP i know more as elder one is there. My priority is School Care. If i gotten a place in APS the next headache will be whether get a place in sch care or not.
Am even happier now, cos i just found out last Friday, that YMCA sch care sibling has priority.
They teach school’s spelling/ting xia, make sure finishes school homework and some assessment to be completed daily. They have good activities during sch holidays, you just need to pay and pay for the programme and outings…
YMCA not easy to enter, priority is for lower income group…just submit your request and put in the Q. -
APS my neighbour kid is there, full of activities as well, hiphop dance, canvas art and swimming starts in P1 (most school starts P3)

Only for lower income? but full time working parents will need the child care. Now I am worried, though I am not earning big bucks, I don't think my income level is considered lower income.I do have a elder one in GESP so far so good, I like the teachers that are very supportive and caring in his class.
