You got good memory. Yes, I am the one. You have a girl or boy in the same class may I know. I understand from my son that it was a surprise test to them. I was still wandering the last question set for the paper was to kill the marks for the test or to test the kids IQ. For this question my son only score 2 out of 4 marks. If we think from the bright side of it then it is trying to tell the parents something.....

Is this test for all P1s? My dd was on MC for the past 2 days so I supposed she'll not be taking it.

hmm…don’t think maths test was mentioned during the last meet the teachers session. only heard from child that they have completed the part 1 workbook.

I have a son in the same class as yours. Ya, I agree the last question was a bit tough. My son also only got 2 marks out of 4 as he got the second answer wrong. When we looked at his correction, we were trying to understand how he derived the answer. It took us a while to figure out as we don’t learn the modelling method last time.

I emailed Mdm Yeoh last night. She said a test is given at the end of each topic to test the children’s understanding of the topic learnt. The marks do not count towards SA1. Our sons will be bringing back their test (1) this week in their green file.

hai… I asked my son how come never tell me got Math test and he just replied "I forgot".

ya my p2 also told me she got maths test but she didn't do it well... yet to see her paper...she and my ds are down with fever, cough and flu since Monday..so she got a day mc rest and my ds got 2 days mc rest... Hai nowadays schooling is so stress... on mc still got to worry will they be able to catch up with the lesson or not..... ..tomorrow both of them have chinese test hope they will be ok by tomorrow morning...

oh dear. vlim, need to let the kids drink lots of water. everyday i have to nag at ds to finish his water in school also. sometimes he comes back with almost 80% water. faint! weather so hot these days and he says he is not thirsty.


ya lor… parents these days very difficult to be. everyday have to stress about their school work, whether they can do their test, results ok or not etc.

My dd is having nasal congestion and kept coughing at night. *sigh* Ytd she was given about 20pages of math hw to be completed bcos of the 2 days MC. Really can't afford to be sick these days.
