You are invited to our National Day Celebrations in the hall on Friday, 8 August 2014. All guests are to be seated by 8.45 a.m. Parents can enter the school from 8.30 a.m. onwards.

Once again, our West Springers have been practising hard for the National Day Celebration performance. We’re so happy to see so many talented West Springers performing on stage. It certainly helps boost their self-confidence from a young age! :boogie: :hi5: -
Dear Potential Parents,
We've received 2 enquiries this morning with regards to Phase 2C Supplementary registration next week and would like to share this with the rest of you:
If thus far, it has slipped your mind to register your child for P1 next year, you may still do so at Phase 2C Supplementary at West Spring next week.
If you wish to register your child at West Spring next week after having already registered elsewhere, you may also do so at West Spring next week.
A few minutes ago, an interested parent with a child due for P1 in 2016 enquired on our Parent Volunteer, PV scheme.
Following this call, we've just decided to re-open our PV registration as such for such interested parents. Please call Mdm Noor at 63144192, Monday - Friday from 8.00a.m to 4.00p.m to register for our PV scheme.
We look forward to welcoming you and your child to our West Spring Family!

Dear Parents and Guardians,
This is to update you on our new PLAY activities provided for your child at West Spring Primary School:
1) Student sport leaders are trained to loan out sports equipment for 10 mins of recess PLAY as part of healthy living (students must ensure that they've eaten before being allowed to PLAY).
2) As part of character development recognition, PLAY skate scooters and sandpit accessibility are made available to West Springers who exemplify the school's values in their everyday actions in school (OTTER Award Recipients).
We'd like to thank our supportive parent volunteers for helping to supervise these PLAY sessions.

3) Upcoming story-telling sessions by parents and West Springers will also be conducted during recess in due course.
4) At West Spring, Science is introduced to children incidentally through our Programme for Active Learning Programme; Stellar Programme, as well as during recess. With effect from this month, the Scientists@Play Programme will be introduced where West Springers will get to learn simple Science through hands-on activities during recess.
The above have been introduced as part of our PLAY holistic education at West Spring Primary.

Dear Phase 2C Parents (P1 Registration Ex 2014),
:welcome: to our awesome West Spring family!
We’d like to share with all of you that we’d already sent out the Letter of Confirmation on Monday, 4 Aug 2014. You should have received it by now.
The Orientation Day on Friday, 7 Nov 2014 at 9.00 a.m, will be held in our school and is expected to last for about 4 to 4.5 hours. This information will help you plan your leave on that day to join us for this very important event. Besides familiarizing your child with our school, their Second Home, on that day, we’ll also be carrying out some administrative work with regard to your child’s admission to our school. There’ll also be important briefings on school and curriculum matters, as well as purchase of your child’s textbooks, stationery and PE attire.
Parents who are driving to our school on that day are requested to park at the public car parks across the school. If you have any other queries, please call Mdm Noor at 63144192, Monday - Friday from 8.00 a.m to 4.00 p.m.
