Hope it is not amnesia... So tired throughout the day, but I cannot sleep past 4 so might as well wake up to do some work. This is so unlike me, I used to sleep for 10 hours everyday...

          You joining my club?

Your club is \"active and energetic club\"? A&E club? [/quote]You want to join my club too? It's the \"forget the important dates and cannot sleep too long club\".

In this forum 2 forumers approach me if I know about asperger syndrome. Never heard of asperger and never thought that my child needs intervention. I read up as quickly as I could on asperger, view youtube how asperger is like. Worried, I went to polyclinic to get them to refer my child to Child Guidance Clinic. Went through a series of Q&A and my child is diagnose with mild Asperger. There was no test done on the child. Just a collection of what mother has to say which I think is highly inaccurate.

I found this article in the web. Hope parents with their child wrongly labelled find this useful.

              http://www.sengifted.org/articles_counseling/Amend_MisdiagnosisOfAspergersDisorder.shtml

Based on other finding, asperger's IQ ranges from average to exceptional.

Sorry if I OT here, just reaching out to the parents that has their child labelled asperger.

Yep, yep, reach out to me... ๐Ÿ˜ So stressed not by my child, but by parents who simply would not understand and insist that my child's behavior is the result of poor parenting. Some even asked me how come only this one is like that, the others are ok.

Isn't it obvious? It is not my fault lah. Some parents have stopped talking to me already... ๐Ÿ˜ž

No matter how skewed, there's definitely a FSIQ. This is the first time I hear, but perhaps I am ignorant.

Nolah. Don't have to have a FSIQ score. My son doesn't have it for the reasons mentioned - the discrepancy between sections is greater than 3 standard deviations. Instead, he has a GAI (General Ability Index). It can serve as the FSIQ and excludes some sub-test scores - I forget what.

O, really can have no FSIQ... so strange, cause my boy was also very skewed, like 3 sections 19 (full marks) and 2 others around slight above average but there's still a FSIQ.... Maybe the one who assessed my child lau ye-ah.
